Let's Get Ready To Grumble!!!

This weekend saw the BC NDP transfer their bruised and battered image onto themselves as individuals when a brawl broke out at a Caucus gathering.
"The meeting started off as all the Caucus meetings do with a roll call off all the important NDP figures.", our insider told us. "You know, the leaders of the unions, Federal Leader Jack Layton, the guy who organizes the trashing of non-NDP signs during elections, etc. Then all of a sudden Carole James wanted to be introduced and well, you know, that's just weird as this was a roll call of leaders."
While this intrepid Poly has received many versions of the events inside the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel this weekend, what happened next is consistent in all reports (except for the memo we received from Adrian Dix which involved a unicorn).
"So, when the MC would not introduce Carole, she says, "But I'm the leader" and House Opposition Leader and party leader wanna-be Mike Farnworth snickers "for now" which of course got Harry Lali giggling "good one Mikey" which led to hair pulling - and once Carole got a good handful of Mike's back hair, the fight was on!"
It the middle of throwing punches at each other, Mike would taunt Carole with verbal jabs of "way to go Ms. 37% popular support" and "will Vaughn continue writing your questions for the next question period?" while Carole countered with "oh Mike, wanna give a friend a casino license or fudge a budget?"
The fighting only stopped when Gregor Robertson hid under a table rocking back and forth looking confused - just as he does when in the Legislature. This united the fighting "leaders" as everyone joined in pointing and laughing at Gregor and then went home.
But would not the time spent fighting have been better spent reviewing policy?
"Policy?", our NDP contact exclaimed. "That's what the unions do for us. Why duplicate the work?"

Is there no end to the union stoogery out there?

Gotta' love the punch-up graphic, a real fore-head slapper.

Is union stooge 'Cotton' Jinni Simms into self-flagellation too, like those pesky monks do to get themselves 'right' with the world?

As they say, no pain - no gain!

Lets be honest, the longer that Carole James can remain as leader of the NDP the better. There is nothing more that the BC Liberals could ever ask for than another election against Carole James. The problems is, the hardcore NDPers know that as well. How long Carole can hang on is anyones best guess.

I shouldn't be doing this, but sitting here on the Leg with no coherent direction is frustrating.

I wouldn't say the "Poly" is accurate with this story, but there are rumblings about Ms. James.

I know I'll be supporting Mike when the time comes.

So why don't you join us?

Gord is offering the best of both worlds. He has moved to the centre and is offering an environment where you can achieve anything in BC you want to now.

He has settled with all the public sector unions, even nurses are singing the Governments praises now. (They are training more new nurses and docs in one term than the NDP ever did in 10 yrs)

Life is grand in BC.

You can achieve something on this side. Join us and push for what matters to you from within the governing party.

Think about it. Why not?

He has done more for aboriginals than the NDP has EVER done.
Barry is doing more for the environment than any past NDP Minister.

The only prerequisite?

You have to think for yourself.

Don't worry; you will get the hang of it.

Personally, I think Harry Lali could be the next leader of the NDP. He could use his ethnicity to his advantage in taking over delegate selection meetings. The result will be a divided and unhappy NDP heading into an election. The real question is will the organized labour vote unite behind one candidate or fracture supporting different candidates. Harry watch out I also hear that Moe Sihota has leadership aspirations.

Join the BC Liberals??? I have to admit the BC Liberals have captured the centre and my party is slowly being relegated to the far left (that is also frustrating).

It is disappointing to see this because of flops like Gregor Robertson. This shining star can barely light up a night sky. And what do we get instead, extremists like Cubberly and Chudnovsky.

The NDP are already divided. I'm just the tip of the iceberg!

INSIDER:
It is time for you to rethink your allegiances. Are you there to support personalities or an idea that BC can be great and look after it's disadvantaged and those that cannot look after themselves?
In BC today, Gordo has created a
He has a vision for BC where anyone that wants a job can get one, where the economy in every sector provides opportunity.
He is building parks, forging relationships with first nations like no Government before him, these are YOUR ideals, and these are what you are working for. Except, Gord is achieving them.
He wants to do so much more.
Join us.

Woo-hoo! Harry Lali for Leader of the Dippers. Where do I send my donation? Talk about cementing the Libs in 2009 . . .

Throw Moe Sihota in the mix, and maybe one more from the looney-left, and the party is done. You'll make Carole James look positively rational and inspiring.
